Mirai is a short black haired girl in gothic Lolita fashion. She wears a black, white and dark teal frilled dress and bonnet with cat ears, cat tail, and what looks like black angel wings on her back. She wears white stockings and black dress shoes with black ring anklets with cat heads. She carries a European style umbrella that matches her dress in design, and like Yagyū, she wears a black eye-patch with red tomoe over her left eye (Yagyū's is on the right)
Personality[]
Mirai is a short tempered individual and has a pathological hatred of being ignored by others and will go to extreme lengths to make her presence known. Though she wants desperately to be seen as an adult, she does often act like a little girl. She also has a severe case of breast envy, gets agitated when there are those bustier than her, but is not afraid to mock those who also have a flat chest, like Ryōbi. Despite this, however, Mirai is quite the opposite of what she outwardly displays.
Mirai is actually very timid and is deathly afraid of what others think about her. Because of her history of always being picked on, Mirai tends to suffer from low self esteem. At times where she has felt the others mistreat her, she'd often runs away in a panic and tries to hide. She's also developed a defense mechanism for this; having random outbursts and yelling at others for treating her a certain way. Despite all this, Mirai is still a generally nice person.
She cares very much for her comrades as they have gone out of their way to make her feel that she belongs. She feels especially close to Haruka and Homura (Haruka being the ideal, proper lady she wishes to grow up being; Homura as an older sister-ish role model.)
Approximately one month into her first year she had been selected as the fifth and final member of the elite team. She was feeling nervous asking herself if she could really do it and become a shinobi, she slapped her cheeks to snap herself out of her self-doubt.
She passed through the entrance called the north gate and saw gravel everywhere which was for testing one's stamina and where they could've conducted training to hide in the gravel so she watched where she was stepping. She crossed the bridge over the river where water escape was taught when she arrived she went through the maze that was the castle keep. She arrives in the designated room which was no different from any other Japanese-style room. A girl with tanned skin and piercing eyes called out to her asking if she was Mirai. Mirai confirms she was and already knowing Homura's name saw her as intimidating. Mirai didn't say anything to her as she was always on edge when meeting new people. She couldn't tell if Homura was an enemy or ally, regardless a stranger was a stranger. She always had to find out where they stood first and foremost. She kept an eye on Homura in an attempt to guess before she smiles at her. Homura tells her it took a real simpleton to open their heart to a complete stranger, Mirai thought to herself that it was the perfect response from an evil shinobi. As she found herself thinking, another girl walked into the room who in Mirai's words was a really sexy woman. She then jokingly asks who the 1st year with big boobs was. Mirai already knew it was sarcasm as anyone could obviously see they were tiny. The girl introduces herself as Haruka and tells her it was nice to meet you. Just looking at her Mirai saw her as an enemy. As anyone who mocks such an obviously sore subject had to be. Haruka comments about how if looks could kill and says she's adorable. She drew in close to Mirai and starting whispering into her ear. She asks her how would she like to be one of her dolls. Mirai was getting cold sweats from her voice. Haruka began to describe the process. First Haruka would encase her in wax so she couldn't move and then hang her up on the wall in Haruka's room. Mirai didn't think she was kidding she was completely serious about turning her into a doll. Mirai apologized to her asking her to forgive her. Mirai was a new student so she couldn't talk back to her senior. She shook her head like her life depended on it. Haruka continued to whisper into her ear wondering what she should do. This made Mirai's body cower in fear. Haruka then tells her she could call her "Mistress Haruka". Mirai is able to say it in question. Haruka confirms if she called her that she'll forgive her. Haruka gave her a satisfied look and walked away. Mirai didn't know why she needed her forgiveness but it was either that or be turned into a doll. Homura tells her there were two others in the elite class and she'll introduce her. She then touched a wall that spun around revealing a secret elevator. Mirai stepped out into the ninja room which wasn't like she expected. As there was a western-style sofa, large plasma tv and a table covered in sweets and various toys. But her attention was drawn to the strange sight before her. A regal looking girl was trying to stuff bean sprouts into the mouth of another girl with a bare midriff in her arms. She was asking her if she had been avoiding bean sprouts recently, the other girl confirms she was because she had been forcing them onto her, the girl is able to break free from the other's arms and a chase between them begins. Neither of them notice Homura and Mirai until the former shouts out to them that she brought a new student. The two face her and Mirai introduces herself to them. The regal girl walked up to Mirai and tells her to open wide. Mirai was confused at this before she was told to not be shy. Mirai opens her mouth and it is stuffed with a lot bean sprouts. She is asked if they were good and Mirai nodded. She is then told she passed which Mirai didn't understand but no harm no foul. Homura then introduces them to her the girl whom she nicknames "Sprouts" was Yomi and the other was Hikage. Who then tells Mirai there was no need for formal stuff and to just call her Hikage. Having been introduced to all four of her teammates she began to have a problem. All of them were well stacked and had slim waists. Mirai was starting to question if she could join them with her kid-like structure. She dropped this as she was thinking like she used to. She had to become an evil shinobi, there was no other path for her. She had no time for petty concerns. Over the course of the following month despite the very difficult training she chose to keep on fighting regardless of how hard it got. As her mind was on the training difficulties her thoughts turned to the others. Because she was getting treated like a kid trying to collaborate with them was difficult. She kept wondering why she was being treated like this she then thinks of the reason. It was her boobs. As the academy was a boarding school they often took communal baths. She got self-conscious every time. She thought of the boobs of the others. Which compared to hers, they weren't bouncy or jiggly at all. Mirai is suddenly snapped back to reality by Homura telling her to stay focused. Mirai began recovering her senses and noticed a group of puppets with throwing daggers approaching. Because her mind wandered she couldn't coordinate with them, again. One of them grazes near her hip but she just barely avoided it. She let out a sigh of relief while Haruka began to chuckle softly Mirai noticed this and wondered what was so funny. Haruka points out to her that her "bear ass" was exposed. Mirai looked down and saw her skirt was in tatters, her panties were visible. She tried to cover them with her hands but this made Haruka laugh harder. She tells Mirai not to be shy as bear panties were so her, they were innocent and poked at where the bear was printed and said the word cute. Mirai growing angered by this says it was because she's such a little kid wasn't it. Her embarrassment quickly turned to rage and she screamed out at the top of her lungs what was wrong with having bear panties. She then turned and ran with tears in her eyes. She heard Homura call out to her but she ignored her not even looking back. She eventually arrived on the hill on the outskirts of town. During middle school she always came here whenever something bad happened. She made quick repairs to her skirt and climbed the tallest cedar tree. She let out a deep breath out and was exhausted. She couldn't believe she skipped out on training just because they saw the bear on her panties. This was she couldn't coordinate with the seniors, she was childish. She gazed down from her vantage point atop the tree at the town she hated. People lived in the town she hated, people who made fun of her, who made her look like a fool. She had to get her revenge. She then thought of her family whom were good shinobi, but Mirai chose the path of evil in order to get her revenge. Good shinobi only act under orders but the evil ones get to use their power as they saw fit. That's why she chose the path of the evil shinobi to use her power as much as she pleased. But if she couldn't learn to coordinate with the others she may be dropped from the elite class. Meaning she'd just be another student and becoming a shinobi would take even longer and probably harder. She then says out loud if her bust was bigger she'd fit in better with everyone. She then hears Homura saying it had nothing to do with her bust size. Mirai turned around and saw Homura standing behind her. Homura tells Mirai her appearance was a childish concern, it had no bearing on her strength as a shinobi. Mirai knew this may be true she understood where she was getting at. But even if you understood it in your head it's not easy to overcome that childish concern. Homura could tell Mirai wasn't convinced. She lets out a sigh tells Mirai to take a good look at her and began to take off her outfit revealing pajamas underneath it. Frilly, pink and cute pajamas not something Mirai thought she'd wear. Homura asks her "How about that?!" with a beet-red face. Mirai was confused and asked her what she meant. Homura tells her, she had her own childish side so she shouldn't be embarrassed about her bust or her panties. Mirai felt the words slap her in the face and began to see she did care about her. Yomi shouts out from a nearby tree and tells Mirai to look at her as she exposes her stomach to Mirai. She was wearing a stomach band the kind a dad would wear. Yomi tells her she always puts it on before bed, because she can't have her stomach getting cold. Mirai thought it was a little off but she could tell Yomi cared about her too. Haruka then shouts out to Mirai to take what she was throwing at her. It was her negligee and a pair of panties which were nothing but string. Haruka tells her the negligee was a gift from her. Hikage in the same tree with Haruka tells Mirai if she liked her panties she felt free to borrow them. Haruka tells Mirai if she wore those she'd graduate from child and threw her a wink. Mirai saw that her seniors cared about her. She felt like crying. Homura then flat out tells Mirai she had no recollection of ever treating her like a child. Mirai realizes that Homura was right, she never once got treated like a child. Those were just projections from her head. Homura then tells her she didn't have to regard her as a senior. They're both comrades from Hebijo, no juniors or seniors here. Mirai saw that she wanted to treat her as an equal not a superior. Homura then tells Mirai to address her. Mirai is able to say Homura's name and tears began to flow. She thanks her and wiped her tears. Hikage tells her there were no formalities here, they're equals. Yomi nodded in agreement. Before asking Mirai to address her as "Sis" as she's always wanted to be one. And Haruka unsurprisingly asks Mirai to keep referring to her as "Mistress Haruka". Mirai wasn't surprised at Haruka's words and smiled wryly. Homura then let out a cheerful laugh which everyone but Hikage joined in. For the first time Mirai was grateful for her flat chest and bear panties. Later during her training Homura tells her they were going up against puppets with Mirai going first and tells her there was no coordination so she'll be fighting alone. Mirai hearing this said to herself she hoped she could do it Homura tells her all students were there for a reason, whatever their circumstances they all ended up there and asks Mirai she was no different she was there because she wanted to accomplish something. Mirai confirms and Homura tells her to follow her instincts and give it a try she'll fight in a way that was appropriate for her. Mirai understood and gave it a try. After destroying the puppets she catches her breath thinking she got them all Homura shouts out to her to stay focused as there was still one left which she destroys and asks her if she was alright. Mirai was awestruck by Homura's six-blade style and tells her it was amazing. Mirai then began to wonder if she should try hiding six blades in her skirt. Homura advised her against it as it was dangerous. Mirai takes notice of the seventh blade on her back and asks her why she doesn't use it. Homura tells her it wasn't because she doesn't use it it was because she can't. Mirai was confused. Homura tells her until she discovered true power it can't be drawn. Mirai tells her she looked strong enough to her and wondered why she couldn't draw it. Homura tells her that it must be because she still had something left to learn. Mirai thought about what she just heard and was quiet for a moment before jokingly saying that maybe it wanted her to slim down more. This angers Homura who then tells her that it was time to change up her training, she was going to take her on, no holds barred. Hearing this Mirai freaks out and screams out an apology.
Mirai later gropes Yomi's breasts unexpectedly causing her to shriek and tell her not to grope her all of a sudden like that. Mirai tells her she was so lucky and asks her how'd she get a big bust, as there had to be a secret hiding in her bust and continues to grope her senior student. Yomi tells her to stop and there was no secret to it. Mirai then asks what does she have to do to make hers big. Yomi tried to think of an explanation. Mirai asks her if there was something special she did everyday. Yomi hearing everyday says she trains every single day and always follows up with bean sprouts. Mirai hearing this decides to do the same. So she heads out and trains. After finishing she returns to Yomi and asks if she had to eat bean sprouts. Yomi was quiet for a moment and when asked she says that now that she's thinking about it her bust began developing when she was in elementary school. Meaning it had nothing to do with her training. Mirai was disheartened by this. Yomi tells Mirai not to look so shocked and she'll still make her some bean sprouts.
Sometime afterwards Mirai was trying to snap Hikage out of her daydream which she does after a while. When asked she tells Hikage she's never seen her laugh. Hikage was a little confused as she's never laughed before. Mirai asks her if she'd like to try. Hikage was quiet for a moment before deciding to give it a try. Mirai then snaps her fingers and a small curtained stage appeared in the ninja room. She then presents a special performance by the elite class and calls out to Yomi who enters the ninja room announcing herself as she rubs her hands. Mirai does the same and the two step on stage together and in unison say "One, two...and together, we make a trio!" Which makes Yomi burst into laughter. Mirai takes notice that Hikage wasn't laughing and points it out to Yomi who stops laughing. Yomi tells Hikage it was okay to laugh at something funny and not to hold back. Hikage tells her she wasn't holding back. These words stunned Mirai and Yomi. The three then hear Haruka shouting "how pathetic!" from the hallway and if they couldn't get laughs they need to get off the stage. She then dashes into the ninja room pushing a tv stand. She then tells them real comedy comes from the small things in everyday life. She then turns on the tv and pushes play, the screen shows Mirai sleeping. Mirai begins to panic upon seeing herself onscreen. Haruka then hushes her just as the Mirai on the tv starts to sleep talk. Specifically about asking if she could get another big boobie bun. Haruka begins to ask in a joking manner what a big boobie bun was. Yomi apologized to Mirai as she tried to hold her laughter but her attempts were in vain as both she and Haruka burst into laughter. Mirai on the other hand was red with fury and screamed how this was an invasion of privacy. Haruka takes notice that Hikage still wasn't laughing and decides to escalate her attempts. She then announces the next video, Mirai's most shocking performance. However before she can change the video Mirai shoots the TV with a rifle and shouts "No chance!". Homura at this point is onstage to take a shot at making her teammate laugh and makes a crab pose. Nobody laughed, there was silence in the room. After a short while Homura gets off stage. Hikage then asks the others why were they so eager to get her to laugh. Mirai tells her there was no reason. Homura then further goes on about how they were having a conversation which led to a discussion of them wanting to see Hikage smile. They then start talking again about making Hikage laugh and this time with different methods.
One day while Mirai was on her bed with a laptop and giggling to herself. Haruka takes notice and approaches her and asks her why she was grinning. Mirai tells her she was reading the school forums, she then reveals she wasn't good at talking to people directly and opted to search online for people to befriend and she doesn't get nervous online something that many in Hebijo also share. As she continues she mentions it would be nice to make tons of friends. Haruka hearing this decides to be of help. She then takes the computer for a moment and posts something on the forums. Mirai questions her about what she posted. Haruka tells her she posted. "Is no one here willing to take me on right now? Just try and kill me, you bunch of spineless weasels! m9(^a^)" onto the forums and makes a sarcastic remark about how it was too nothing serious. Mirai was shocked to hear this and Haruka mentions she could hear the voices in the distance. Mirai ran off knowing that those students were out for blood and not friendship. Haruka then tells her that now she could make lots of friends and was glad to be of help. Mirai continues to freak out knowing she now has to fight, and so she fights off all the students who came after her. Mirai returns to the ninja room exhausted while Haruka asks why Mirai knocked out all of her prospective friends. Mirai then screams at her about how she didn't want any friends who wanted her head. Haruka sarcastically apologizes and comments how the internet is a scary place. Mirai then collapses onto the floor from exhaustion and responds by telling Haruka the internet wasn't as scary as she was.
